The 101st participated in World War II from 1944 to 1946. The Division was active in three major campaigns. The first campaign was D-Day or the invasion of France. Operation Market-Garden in Holland was their second campaign. Their third major campaign of WWII was the Battle of the Bulge or the defense of Bastogne.
